Up North

My husband is French Canadian and from Northern Ontario.  This means that every summer we take a trip up North to visit family.  Here are some pictures from our trip this year.

We always stop at the French River Visitor Centre on the way to Windy Lake.  This picture was taken there!

My family on the bridge :)

We spent three nights camping (in my brother in laws trailer) at Windy Lake Provincial Park.  This was at the beach at sunset the first night we were there.

Birch bark.  My husband surprised me with the 100MM f2.8 L IS USM macro lens on the way up North as an early birthday present (Happy Birthday to me, indeed!).  It is a lovely lens :)

The lens is so sharp.  And has beautiful bokeh.

We found wild blueberries the last morning of camping.  We had so much fun collection them!

After 3 nights of camping, we drove northeast to New Liskeard to visit our niece Melanie and her new baby Elias.  The kids were in baby heaven.

Such a sweet, happy baby!

We had such a good time visiting with family.  We only wish we could see them more!
